Dr. Norhayati Adam

MBBS (University of Adelaide)

Dr. Norhayati Adam completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2001 at the University of Adelaide followed by an internship at the Modbury Public Hospital.

After working for a few years gaining experience in various departments of the Hospital, she decided to join the general practice training program and did her advanced general practice training years in Renmark, South Australia. Looking after the community in the Riverlands had consolidated her interest in general practice, especially rural general practice.

She eventually moved to Mount Barker where she completed her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2007. She has fallen in love with Mount Barker and the community. She has settled down with her husband who is also a General Practitioner and her 3 children and continues to practice there since.

Yati is passionate about General Practice and the comprehensive care it offers to her patients. She has special interest in paediatrics, women’s health, geriatrics and chronic diseases management. Originally from Malaysia she can converse in a few languages including Malay and Bahasa Indonesia.
