Dr Shalini Murugiah

"Dr. Murugiah is a medical professional whose journey in the world of medicine is marked by dedication and a commitment to comprehensive patient care. She earned her primary medical degree from the esteemed International Medical University in Malaysia in 2012 and further demonstrated her proficiency by successfully completing the Australian Medical Council exams in 2013.
Her early career saw her practicing medicine in Malaysia for two years, during which she garnered invaluable experience across various medical specialties, honing her skills and deepening her medical expertise. In 2017, Dr. Murugiah embarked on a new chapter by relocating to South Australia, where she dedicated herself to serving the community. Her tenure at Lyell McEwin and Modbury hospitals encompassed a diverse array of departments, including obstetrics and gynaecology, emergency, general medicine, surgical, and paediatric emergency, providing her with a comprehensive and versatile scope of practice.
Dr. Murugiah's passion for medicine extends to various facets of healthcare with a keen interest in preventative health, women's and children's health, men's health, chronic disease management, and emergency care. She firmly believes in patient-centred, holistic care, and her dedication lies in assisting patients in preventing and managing illness and injuries, enabling them to lead healthier and happier lives.
Hailing from Malaysia, Dr. Murugiah brings linguistic diversity to her practice, fluently communicating in Malay and Tamil, in addition to English.
Beyond her medical career, Dr. Murugiah finds solace in the outdoors. She enjoys physical fitness, camping, and exploring new destinations, making the most of her time away from work. Dr. Murugiah's multifaceted interests and unwavering commitment to healthcare make her a valued member of the Adelaide Hills Community."
