WHEN DO YOU BOOK AN APPOINTMENT WITH AN GP OBSTETRICIAN?

When you find out you are pregnant (congratulations) , book an appointment with one of our GP Obstetricians to discuss your antenatal care. First initial antenatal consults require a long appointment, and these need to be booked via phoning the clinics. 

• Initial Consult - once becoming pregnant (please book at long appointment for 1st Pregnancy Visit)
• 12 Weeks - Antenatal Visit - Scan + Antenatal Bloods (1st Trimester Down Syndrome NIPT Screening)
• 16 Weeks - Antenatal Visit
• 20 Weeks - Antenatal Visit - Scan
• 24 Weeks - Antenatal Visit
• 28 Weeks - Antenatal Visit - Blood test (Glucose Tolerance) + we offer pertussis Vaccination (whooping cough)
• 30 Weeks - Antenatal Visit
• 32 Weeks - Antenatal Visit
• 34 Weeks - Antenatal Visit
• 36 Weeks - Antenatal Visit - Swab test

Visits from 37 Weeks are weekly at the Mt Barker Hospital with the Obstetric Team

• 1st Obstetric/Antenatal consults need to be booked by phoning the clinics, as it requires a long appointment with our GP Obstetricians.
  
• Follow up antenatal consults may be booked by phone or online with your GP Obstetrician
